We've gone back several times and as far as dim sum goes. We like going on cart days. The restaurant iOS nice. The hosts are nice. Because the place is so huge, they move quick to get you seated even though the line can be so long. We are always able to get our favorites like egg custard tarts, tofu sweet soup, pork buns baked, We like to order beef noodles so it's nice they even do special order.

As soon as we walked in I was happy. This was perfect! Beautiful restaurant. So cool I almost needed my sweater. Sadly we got there past peak hours so the carts weren't rolling as I would have liked but we would had definitely warrants a return visit. With someone other than my husband who has a shrimp allergy. :-(

We always like the food and dim sum service. Since they remodeled, the ambiance has gone up even more. I think the dim sum service is what separates them. We went on a Friday night for the first time and got to experience their evening menu. Still great tasting food. I had Tofu Skin Salad, Fried Pork Eggrolls & Steam Pork Dumplings as appetizers. Someone had Blue Crab Fried Rice, Singapore Style Rice Noodles, Sweet Sour Chicken and there was more, but that is all I can recall. Everyone enjoyed the food and the experience.

This is the Fungs I remember they totally revamped the interior with wine in the front and allowed normal guests to dine in the legacy reception hall. Their English ability and credit card policies are now more appealing to a wider young audience now. Back immediately after COVID they remain closed forever for some sort of "fire" and the food and services was turning inconsistent. I think they're back and returning to their old charm. They're on the way. I still have yet to try their regular food again but I'm confident you can have a good experience here. Let's hope they're sound for the near future, a true Houston travel advisor worth eatery treasure.

Hearty, well-priced, and authentic dim sum. We've been a regular here for a while and have always enjoyed the offerings here. They have traditional cart dim sum on the weekends - we went on a Tuesday afternoon so there was no wait but certainly can get packed on the weekend.

Service was amazing. Best service I have had hands down. Everyone is very nice and very helpful with the menu. Each dish had a lot of food, we had left over for days. Food is on the pricy side but with that being said you do get a lot. The seafood chow mein did taste a little fishy and imitation meat. And the broth was thicker than what I would have like, making the crunchy noodles soggy. Everything else was good

I find the staff to be very helpful when we're looking for different items in a very busy dim sum atmosphere. really enjoy the experience here and consistently impressed by the food quality and service. The valet parking is the best way to go. Highly recommend this Chinese restaurant and look forward to returning

Recently had dim sum here with a party of 23 for my mom's birthday and it was a hit! The food was delicious and there were plenty of carts going around to choose from. There was also a buffet of select items that you could order from as well as the regular menu. There aren't a ton of vegetarian options on the dim sum menu so just be aware of that. But you can easily order vegetarian options on the regular menu. The restaurant was very busy, but wasn't too hard to flag down our waiter. Would definitely recommend for a fun brunch experience with delicious food!

I'm not sure of the weekends are the busiest but on a Sunday, it was. I got here 20 minutes after their opening time of 10:30am. The parking spaces, before valet, were all filled up. Luckily, I was seated right away once I got in the restaurant. There were plenty of tables but it was getting taken every almost every minute. The staffs were very friendly and really helpful! I wanted a specific food item and they went to get it for me. I didn't have to wait for the carts to come around. I don't think I had one bad dish from what I tried: pretty good food quality and consistency. The siumai was juicy, har gow wrapper was transparent and bouncy, rice noodle was soft and chewy, pork belly skin was crispy and meat with fat ratio was balanced. The cold marinated chicken was not bad, either. Great place for big groups of people and I actually saw someone with their dog inside so I'm guessing you can bring pets?

Fung's Kitchen is great for the authentic dim sum experience without the drive to Bellaire Chinatown or Katy Asiatown. Note: this review is for weekend dim sum service. There is a lot of space for seating and the carts come by often during weekend service. During busy times, there may be a 15-30 minute wait. There are some dishes they do really well, like the Siu Mai, and others left a bit to be desired. I've come here a few times, and the food is always good. There is a very large parking lot, but they have a very odd valet situation. The valet is not located by the front doors, but rather in one of the aisles that kind of awkwardly blocks traffic. In summary, Fung's Kitchen is a solid option to get your dim sum fix, and the few drawbacks sometimes outweigh making the drive all the way out to/past Beltway 8.
